Forollhogna consists of alpine areas with peaks and valleys with gentle slopes - sometimes referred to as "the gentle mountains". These beautiful surroundings are Scandinavia's northernmost intact, year-round habitat for wild reindeer, a large and majestic creature.
You will also find a cultural landscape, still maintained by a living cultural heritage, and lush valleys with a special flora and interesting geology. The mountain farms of the area are in use throughout the summer, and here goats and sheep, cows and horses find good pasture.
